Prepared training material and trained Afghanistan National Police in the use, maintenance and installation of Motorola, ICOM and Codan radio systems. Coordinated with military Police Mentor Teams to install new radio and solar solutions at police sites throughout the Herat region. Conducted site surveys for new installations. Programmed and installed Motorola and ICOM repeaters. Erected 50 foot masts and 26 foot towers for antenna placements. Assisted military in tracking installations of HF and VHF equipment. Managed 41 personnel and 2 project managers providing VHF and HF radio service, VSAT and IT service to DyneCorp in support of MOI and Poppy Eradication Programs. Reported directly to Country Manager on all issues regarding outages, movements in the field by personnel, security and new installations. Met with DyneCorp management to assess needs and provide technical support for new build outs and purchase of systems. Implemented training program for DyneCorp personnel on Codan mobile and base station radios. Revamped the Codan profile to utilize the ALE function and improve HF radio performane on the HF platform. Ordered all new equipment and VSAT services for 10 PRT sites across Afghanistan and coordinated shipment and equipment clearance through customs.
