About Gary Sharp

Senior Counsel and Senior Leader - extensive experience advising senior officials and leading large, diverse organizations. I had an amazing career in the United States Navy that was as rewarding as it was challenging, and unique opportunities to advise very senior officials including:- The Secretary of the Navy- The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff- The President of the United States (as a member of the National Security Council staff)Working for these senior officials and in these challenging environments taught me so much about leadership, innovation and strategic thinking. I was able to employ these skills when I served as Commanding Officer of Region Legal Service Office Southeast and ultimately the Assistant Judge Advocate General of the Navy, i.e., the Chief Operating Officer of the Navy JAG Corps, the Navy's worldwide law firm (2500+ personnel).Working as an SES Counsel at the Internal Revenue Service Office of Chief Counsel has given me an opportunity to continue to serve and lead.
