I have spent my entire life in the energy industry and have learned a lot about what it takes to grow and sustain a successful business. In doing so, I have embraced changes that have helped keep our business on the cutting edge of the industry. At this stage of my life, I am also committed to helping other energy marketers survive and thrive now and in the future. These efforts have taken me in many different directions and have allowed me to work with some of the most talented individuals in the industry. My first venture in helping other energy marketers has been through my software company Destwin Energy Systems, which is a company that I cofounded in 2008 to serve the e-commerce needs of today’s energy marketers. Our software platform has provided breakthrough technologies for e-commerce/online services, payment processing, and advanced API customer web portals. We have also designed and built the most advanced commodity risk management system for delivered fuels marketers. These systems are now used by energy marketers throughout the United States and Canada. I have also recently been privileged to serve as chairman of the Connecticut energy marketers Association (CEMA) as well as the executive committee of NORA (National Oilheat Research Alliance). These organizations are committed to serving the needs of American energy marketers, with our inevitable goal of serving the people of our own communities with clean affordable US energy. I have also joined forces with Babington Technology Inc., an energy/technology company focused on military applications. The high-efficiency biofuel compatible systems developed by Babington Technology, are now being tested for use in home heating, and is positioned to lead the way in next-generation biofuel combustion.
