About Gary Thompson

Report to the Board of Directors of Auto-Cycle Union Ltd and ACU Events Ltd. As the recognised National Governing Body for Motorcycle Sport in Great Britain and recognised as such by the UK Government and the Federation Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM) - the World Governing Body - we continually look at ways to improve motorcycle sport in all its forms in the UK for the benefit of competitors and Officials at all levels. ACU Events Ltd are the appointed Race Organiser for the world famous Isle of Man TT Races. ACU Events Ltd have subsequently appointed me as the Clerk of the Course for the event. Working closely with the Promoter - the Department for Economic Enterprise - on behalf of ACU Events Ltd I am responsible for organising the practice, qualifying and race schedule for the TT Festival as per the wishes of the Promoter. I am also responsible for the Safety Management System to drive Safety performance to ensure any risk identified should the TT Course is mitigated to as low as is reasonably practicable.
