Following flooding a few years ago, I was based at a cement works. I managed the inspection and collating of images and inspection sheets for Cemex, enabling their insurance company to build a package to repair or replace damaged drives and equipment. Generally we carry out panel maintenance at the same time as any IR inspections along with supporting photos. I regularly get involved and help the team to reach all standards set and goals as without being a team you progress to nothing. Within my role every job I do has a completed job pack I hand back to the office which in turn is handed out the client, inside this job pack is all documentation, installation check sheets, Test sheets, manufacturers sheets of all equipment installed, this provides reference to all parts of the jobs, I have experience working on HV equipment supporting Authorised HV switchers. I have successfully completed an IOSH certificate. I promote safety within my teams and lead by example. I have run 12 hour day and night shifts that have required a handover/change over period to ensure continuity and to continued safety. The installations are always to the electrical regulations for example BS7671 harmonised colours, I regularly liaise with all Project Stakeholders i.e. Project Manager, Plant Manager, Project Engineer, Mechanical Engineers, Electricians, Apprentices communication is key to everybody involved in any part of installation/ running equipment/plant activity, and Team work is key.Sites that I have gained these experiences are as follows,Tata Steel SitesCristal GlobalCemex South Ferriby Eco PlasticsIBTAir ProductsSingleton Birch

I started on the HDS3 project on a 3 month contract installing Containment/ panels, I was then moved onto the glanding and terminating phase of the project before joining the testing team.

I started at Watson Norrie as an apprentice attending Doncaster College (JTL), on a City and Guilds Advanced Apprenticeship, I completed this in 2007, They then retained my employment as an electrician, throughout my employment with Watson Norrie I was located on many projects, a lot of them were on the Scunthorpe Steel works where I gained a lot of experience with PPMs and Breakdowns,along with fire damage repair work ( scotch casts) as well as, Site Lighting improvement projects Crane upgrades, I was also involved with the building of Caster 5 which I later maintained, I also worked on the commercial projects the company under took such as at Lincoln working with Meridian on the Brayford Wharf full install of flats to specification, School rewires as well as further into the heavy industry with press upgrades at the British Sugar Factory in Newark.
