Gary Turner is a Senior Partner based in Bain’s Sydney office. He is a former Head of Bain's Financial Services Practice in Asia-Pacific, and is a leader in the firm's Strategy Practice. He has held numerous global governance roles and has served on the Board of Directors, chaired the Compensation and Promotion Committee, and most recently chaired the firm's Nominating Committee. In addition to working with clients, Gary is currently Bain's global Chief Risk Officer. Gary joined Bain’s London office in 1985 as an Associate Consultant and transferred to Sydney in 1990 to help open the new Australian office. Gary was made a Partner in 1995 and a Senior Partner in 2010. Although he specialises in Banking and Insurance, Gary has worked across a number of industries including agribusiness, utilities, retail, airlines and IT services. He has also worked across a broad range of functional cases and has expertise in corporate and business unit strategy, turnaround and transformation, operating model, customer experience, sales and performance improvement and post merger integration.
