Greater Atlanta Area

Managed day to day operations of the digital loop carrier field work groups for the Atlanta Central District. Analyzed reports and devised plans of improvement for customer report rates, technician productivity and quality of work. Accomplishments: Negotiated with staff and training center to bring much-needed LEBCI training class to Atlanta which resulted in the training of our DT’s as well as other Atlanta districts. As of the end of April 2002 – Georgia is #1 in the region on current inventory scanning of RT sites and Atlanta-South was #1 in the region in September 2002.Implemented training for ST’s on proper use of disposition codes and trouble isolation in SLC to improve their confidence, improve customer service, and dispatch efficiency. Implemented training for construction on proper ONU turn up procedure to improve FITL report rate and reduce dispatches.Served on Georgia Technology Board.

Provide technical support for DLC field operations in the Atlanta South district. Job duties included analysis of reports to identify improvement opportunities in report rates, administer quality plan, track and improve technician productivity, also supervised field work group network managers. Accomplishments:Negotiated a reduced rate from vendor on battery replacements – this resulted in a savings of approx. $65K. Implemented a process of quality check of vendor installation prior to dispatch of DT in order to reduce wasted dispatches and return trips. Exceeded June-December goal by turning up 244 new ADSL sites in Atlanta-South district.Named to the Network Services Company of Leaders for year 2000. Promoted teamwork to view success for district as ultimate goal.
