I have been in the Oil and Gas business since 1978, I started out in the service sector performing third party Inspections up until 1991 after having traveled the US performing mobile UTWL services on many different US ERW mill products I went into the API OCTG manufacturing side of the business. I started out as an NDT Technician operating one of the US's fastest FBUT system's available at the time and covering every other NDT job in this massive manufacturing facility, I worked my way up from NDT Technician to Quality Control Manager in early 2000 (which is where I started my international travels thanks to Alliance programs) and continued until US Steel's acquisition of LSS in late 2007, at which point I was appointed Quality Assurance Manager. I left USS in late 2008 and joined a US based Importer where I was the Manager of Quality followed by VP QA up until I left the company in 2013 and started my own International US based OCTG consultation company performing a variety of technical services to both ERW and Seamless mills around the globe, I have worked in 34 countries to date and currently work with some very reputable mills both Internationally and in the States primarily educating mill employees and management to API Standards, Weld and Tube Quality and evaluating the processes for improvement opportunities. While my specialty is NDT and ERW, my objectives are to assure whatever type or wherever the products may be produced that not only the product produced is up to given standards but the people who actually make the products and keep the company functioning has a good understanding and the knowledge and information needed to assure such quality exists and not only meet industry standards or requirements but the customers and end users expectations as well for they are the ones that keep the companies I serve in business and assure i continue to function in the area I enjoy working.
