While at Eltek I helped many Telco and data center organizations with my broad data center knowledge, designed "No Break" power solutions to meet customer needs. I also consulted on local regulatory and environmental requirements for many countries. Power solutions scaled from computer rooms to Tier 1 global organizations . During the past 7 years I have designed and built several data centres within telco exchanges and 2 x innovative modular green field builds. • Completed build and commissioned into production stage 1 - 400 racks, of a 1200 rack green fields DC. Competion eta October 2014.• February 2014 commissioned into production a 24 x rack single cold aisle cluster expansion of a DC located within one of our Telco exchange buildings• October 2013 completed build and commissioned into production a greenfields building and 200 rack Tier 3 datacentre utilising artesian water as the primary cooling system, with free cooling as the backup.• In the 4 previous years I designed and built 2 new Tier 3 datacentres and completed 5 expansion projects to existing data centres within Telco Exchanges. Having maxed out the Exchange building capacity for space, power utility supply and weight bearing capacity, I designed and built 2 new purpose built data centre buildings.

With 14 data centres in the portfolio I managed the pipeline, pricing, capacity managing, forecasting, strategic planning, plus the design and build of additional capacity. After 4 years the requirement for new builds saw me move into the dedicated role of Data Centre Principal Architect.

Provide leadership to the IT support team. Resolve systemic issues with the Internet booking system. Work with Air NZ IT Strategy team to technically merge Freedom Air back into the parent Air NZ.Deliverd several inovative solutions to reduce costs, including, • Created an new mobile EftPos solutio onboard the planes, with online download fasility on the ground in the airports.• An FAQ online system, imbedded into the on line booking system. Manage a multi layer deparertment of 7 teams, 60 staff Infrastructure and Hepdesk 24 x 7 service. Established new Casino’s in Adelaide, Queenstown and Hamilton. Integrated Village Force Entertainment Group ICT systems into the Sky City Entertainment systems when it was purchased. Built new Data Centres in each Casino. Build ICT systems and hire local ICT support staff to run the Gaming interfaces’, Parking, Restaurants, back of house and Loyalty systems.• Select and implemented a ITIL based Call logging system across all sites.• Train the Auckland based Help Desk team to provide service to remote casinos as a “Centre of Excellence” with remote access to all systems.• Take up residence in the new sites for up to 3 months to hire staff, build data centres and systems, ensuring integration with Auckland head office and commission systems and staff into production.
