Day to day duties included ensuring that all safety requirements are administered and adhered to, setting priorities and allocating resources, leading strategies in the maintenance function to enhance current practices and performance, maintaining availability of 360 TPH crusher circuit, Ball Mills and gravity circuit, CIL and tailing system, Managing the human, financial and operational resources of the maintenance/operational projects team, assisting in formulating the annual operating and capital budgets for the maintenance function consistent with Kinross’ established financial guidelines and business planning process, monitoring efficiency of the maintenance team, directing all aspects of maintenance to meet company goals, maximizing equipment utilization and minimizing equipment down time, monitoring and implementing changes to ensure maintenance is preventative, predictive and proactive, administering maintenance contracts, ensuring that the job progression system is administered consistently and equitably, ensuring established availability goals for all equipment are maintained, managing plant shutdown to ensure effect planning, scheduling and execution and defining KPI targets, implementing and monitoring by using KPI visual boards.
