Unfortunately, the two DoD Production jobs did not come to fruition.However, during my time at ARA, I completely reorganized their Stores functionality relating to Production materials, including procuring and tracking parts which went into the deliverables, shop aides and tooling which were required to build the deliverables, and tracking and replenishing limited life materials relating to these builds. All employees could access this information through spreadsheets I maintained real-time on the company IT network. During my time there I had a number of different job titles, including Procurement Manager, Project Manager for LRIP ( Low Rate Initial Production ) Programs, and of course, Buyer / Planner.Some of my responsibilities included, but were not limited to: - Managed and implemented processes related to the purchase of Material, Inventory Control, Shipping / Receiving and Stores functions - Purchased requirements for assigned materials from approved and qualified suppliers in sufficient lead time to prevent material shortages, and recommend cost savings improvements - Served as liaison between internal and external customers; Materials, Manufacturing / Planning, Sales, Quality Assurance, Marketing, Finance, R&D / Engineering, and Legal / Contracts, to facilitate project execution, track activities, manage risk plans and resolve project challenges - Supported Commercial, Military / DOD, and Aerospace related programs; Production and R&D - Developed material schedules and coordinated the efficient movement of materials with Purchasing, Production Program Management, and Engineering - Analyzed and interpreted engineering drawings and documents for procurement and planning - Initiated quote cycles for project related materials - Generated purchase requisitions, following company policy and procedures regarding quality requirements and funds approval - Issued purchase orders to suppliers; monitored status of purchased items at vendor, in receiving inspection, and in project stores- Planned and determined cost effective operation sequences, generating production tracking documentation to fabricate, test, inspect, and ship hardware Show less
