I’m a freelance Account Director, providing support with corporate, Local Authority, diplomatic, community festivals and fun days. Overseeing sales, community engagement, marketing strategy, training and problem solving for Croydon Pride, Croydon Mela and various Community Events and business support activities in Wandsworth and Richmond.Through the pandemic, I also led a small team of 8 business support stewards, to liaise with hospitality businesses regarding the various Government changes regarding operating during lock down restrictions, providing reports into the Town Centre Manager and Head of High Streets for the Council.I have facilitated meetings to bring together various community groups for the Croydon Borough of Culture, which will also see the event management for Croydon Pride, Croydon Mela and Croydon Carnival carried out by our Event Management part of the business.

I was responsible for overseeing community relationships across the region. By attending client/project meetings I was able to build strong relationships with ward councillors, internal teams, external agencies, and community partners. My role allowed me to look at all areas of improvement across all aspects of community and stakeholder related issues, developing, maintaining, and reviewing the correspondence logs along with the systems and procedures for the Team.I delivered against the project CSR outputs and often exceeded targets as I worked in collaboration with the local community partners. Achievements included:*A138 Chelmer Viaduct – Working with an Essex based charity for children with special needs I teamed up with Writtle Agricultural College and turned the charities disused garden into a designer garden by providing staff community days, surplus materials, and mechanical diggers. The garden continues to thrive as the agricultural college encourage their students to get involved as part of their project management leaning.*Pontypridd – Network Rail project - Working with an art-based charity, I provided the site hoarding for a graffiti artist to carry out a 2-day workshop. This saw 102 people attend to create a steam train and carriages along the whole length of the hoarding. We also invited local amateur photographers to submit photos to be framed and included in the “windows” of the carriages. The project went on to win the Considerate Constructors Hoarding Competition Award and the artwork remained untouched for over a year after we left site before being relocated due to development of the site. I represented GRAHAM at the Fairness, Inclusion & Respect (FIR) Steering Group, hosted by the Supply Chain School which was attended by several of our clients, including Network Rail and National Highways and was always able to provide contributions from my experiences and observations from the Contractor perspective.

I worked closely with duty managers and acted as senior manager on site liaising with the emergency servicesI liaised with Directors of 11 Education Business Partnerships in the Highway Managers of London Borough Councils (along with other Council Departments) in which we operated and attend secondary schools to act as a business ambassador. As a result our programme reached the finalist stage at the City of London’s Mayors Awards 2009 and received accreditation with the Institute for Education Business Excellence (IEBE) in 2012 by being the first UK Company to achieve the Education Ready StandardI provided high profile events for CEO’s and MD’s to participate in CSR promotions, organised and run events, such as Community Payback, which linked with young offenders, who worked on a horticultural planting sessions as part of their community hoursI held the voluntary post of Ambassador for London’s Air Ambulance (LAA) and worked over a 5 year period to ensure they were the nominated charity for the business. I was able to host meetings with CEO’s and MD’s to help raise the profile of the work carried out by the LAA.

Working for the Metropolitan Police Traffic Control – (CO15) controlling all Pan-London Traffic Units, primarily tasking units to serious/fatal road traffic accidents, road closures and all Motorway incidents on fast roads within the M25 Region. For 4 years worked in a Borough Control Room in Computer Aided Despatch (CAD) trained to allocate emergency calls to Police Officers by use of Personal Radio and Mobile Data Terminals (MDT), completing risk and intelligence assessments whilst maintaining officer safety objectives at all time.As lead union representative for the Traffic Command I was responsible for 50 civilian staff across 5 London sites at a stage when managers had to reshape the structure of the Traffic Garages and Police Staff roles to accommodate efficiency savings; this was achieved by strong negotiation and communication skills with the Chief Superintendent and his team without compromising operational delivery.I initiated a comprehensive recording process for Injunctions issued by County Courts in Wandsworth for victims of domestic violence, this enabled accurate and relevant power of arrest information to be held on Police records and PNC. This went on to become best practice for the MPS.Ability to deal with complex and sensitive issues as required within the MPS, having been seconded to the ATB at New Scotland Yard to staff the national ATB hotline, receiving and disseminating classified information to SB offices within the UK.HOLMES 2 trained and on call for MPS Central Casualty Bureau, having served in the Bureau during the Indian Earthquake, September 11th, Saudi Bombings and the bombing of the British Consulate in Istanbul liaising with ATB Officers on the ground, Foreign & Commonwealth Staff and Next of Kin of victims.
