In college, I opened my own landscaping business to put myself through school, and that was when my entrepreneurial spirit was born.After graduating from Angelo State with a degree in marketing, I moved to Dallas to begin my career. Soon after, my dad asked me to help him start his automobile dealership. He was about to retire from being a professional firefighter, and wanted to have a follow-up career. So I helped him, and we were so successful, I decided to go into the industry and got my first job at Toyota.It didn't take long for me to earn my stripes as the #1-ranked salesperson in the dealership, outpacing 22 other salespeople, and from there I was quickly promoted to Sales Manager and Finance Manager.Made a lot of money, spent a lot of money, and worked 80 hours a week. I didn't have a life, but I didn't care at the time.
