Responsible for the overall analysis, design and programming of the InFusion Point of Sale Software Solution for the QSR and hospitality markets. Duties included planning, analyzing, design and programming the InFusion Systems Modules using Borland Delphi, Visual Studio 2005/2008, Microsoft SQL Server 2005, Windows XP embedded, C#.NET WPF/Silverlight and architectural components.Followed the Agile Development methodology. Responsible for analyzing the requirements and errors, and the design and coding of the software components to meet expectations for system users. Involved with Testing and Release Management and in the installation enhancements and error corrections.Experience with POS terminals, WePOS peripheral drivers including pinpads, receipt printers (Epson TMT88) and barcode readers, credit card processing, touchscreen technologies and full back-office impementations including HR and Inventory Control.

Responsible for the evaluation, development and implementation of new software and hardware technologies directly related to the construction industry and Local/Wide area networking. Implemented new e-mail system, corporate intranet, server operating systems, terminal server systems and security systems. Phased out older construction accounting and management software and phased in a new, complete system. This system included proprietary software written by myself (using Delphi 2005, Visual Studio 2003/2005 C# and MS SQL Server) to cover areas where no other viable solutions existed from other software vendors. Also in charge of ancillary communications such as cell phones, Blackberry’s and Windows Mobile devices. Involved in back-end web development for proprietary CRM software. Wrote and implemented company Intranet using ASP and IIS 5.0/6.0.

Started another one-man company in order to provide other small companies with I.T. support. This included complete network (LAN and WAN) setup, server setup and configuration, workstation setup and configuration, hardware configuration, troubleshooting both software and hardware and computer/equipment repair. I had 6 clients, which is the maximum that I could effecively manage.

Started a partnership in order to develop the BuildWare software management solution for the construction industry. The full suite was completed in late 2001. The software was developed under Windows 2000 using Borland Delphi (Object Pascal) and the Borland Database Engine (BDE), with a view to making an Enterprise Edition using MS SQL Server. This software was/is Win32 based, and ran successfully from 2001 to 2008 for Northstar Homes, Inc over LAN and WAN using MS Terminal Services. Taking the software to the next level (into the marketplace) proved to be a much harder task than anticipated. The partnership was dissolved due to lack of funding. Began converting the software to C#.NET in 2004/SQL Server 2005.

Responsible for the evaluation and implementation of new software and hardware technologies directly related to the construction industry and Local/Wide area networking. Also responsible for communications corporate wide, which included Levitt Puerto Rico, where I visited once a month. Switched the whole company and all satellite offices from Novell Netware to Windows NT based servers. Deployed brand new software solutions across the whole company.

Responsible for the evaluation and implementation of new software and hardware technologies directly related to the construction industry and Local/Wide area networking. Began work on programming from scratch a complete management software package exclusively for construction called BuildWare.

Maintenance, repair and implementation of current and new machinery in the production of carrier tape for electronic components. Other duties included design of new production machines and programming of PIC devices to perform automation of the said machines. Invented a new automatic jig for transferring electronic components into anti-static tubing. This device is now widely used in Europe.

As operator, learned every process in manufacturing of hermetic Dual In Line microchip and hybrid micro-circuit production. Promoted to Production Technician in 1989, repairing and maintaining all production machines. Promoted to Process Engineer in 1990, which entailed process spec evaluation and writing, new process technology evaluation, process optimization and implementation. Obtained a TQM (Total Quality Management) certificate in 1991.During this period, I received sponsorship to attend college (Electronics Engineering).Build test systems for and was involved with large military defence contracts.

Performed servo head write tests on various hard drive models manufactured by Rodime, Inc. Diagnostic and fault finding skills needed to pinpoint errors and suggest a corrective course of action. Test machines used high-level un-compiled language that enabled me to reprogram them to work more efficiently. Commendation led to promotion to technician.
