About Gary Finberg

I have possibly overstayed my welcome in the IT industry, having been at the coal face for 24 years since the arcane days B.I. (before Internet). First as a founding member of Dockside Internet, one of South Africa’s first commercial ISP’s and since as MD of Sharepoint360, a Microsoft SharePoint solutions provider where I have delivered large scale solutions to African clients ranging from government, banks and telcos to international clients such as Electronic Arts and One Call Medical. I have a passion for technology, and believe that by delivering relevant and effective solutions, it is possible to induce accountability, efficiency, transparency, teamwork and empowerment. I have been deeply involved with SharePoint since it was released in 2001 and have been developing creative and innovative business solutions on the platform ever since. I have the ability to simplify and effectively communicate complex technology issues and solutions to any audience and have a pro-active approach to business development, product research and experimentation. I am highly inquisitive, creative and resourceful and am able to anticipate trends in technology. I am a strong believer in simplicity and solutions over jargon and hype.
