I had a rich and varied career at Chubb principally in commercial underwriting and operations. I led profitable middle-market commercial and environmental liability underwriting units in New York City. I was the CAO of commercial underwriting as Chubb integrated its property and casualty underwriting units. I later worked with the Chief Underwriting Officer and others on a variety of projects including reinsurance recoveries, legal administration, business process and systems improvements, and a financial engineering business.I managed Chubb's mandated business branch mitigating the negative impact of residual market on business units. I served as a director of several state underwriting associations such as the Florida Windstorm Underwriting Association and became involved in influencing state and national legislation. This led to a stint in Washington as an government affairs officer working on both domestic and international issues principally in Asia and Europe.I began my career in Operations helping Chubb successfully decentralize its branch operations and modernize its processing systems. I ended my career leading underwriters and working with environmental brokers, attorneys, and engineers to develop Chubb's environmental liability business.
