Responsible for all executive leadership functions in this 3 campus, 245 bed, general acute care, not-for-profit hospital located in Opelousas, Louisiana with primary service area reaching into north Lafayette Parish, Acadia Parish, Evangeline Parish, and St. Landry Parish. Directly supervised 11 Administrative Team members and worked with a Medical Staff of 300.

Responsible for all executive leadership, physician recruiting, Board interface, community relations, political activism and development functions of this surgical specialty hospital in Lafayette, LA.

Responsible for all internal business operations for this $270 million (and growing) company. Oversaw and directed sales and marketing activities. Led all executive management activities commensurate to the role. Human Resources, Corporate Training, Legal and Operating Regions were direct reports. Organized and conducted Leadership Development and other programs and services provided by SG. Coordinated and facilitated ongoing operations and relationships with current clients. Negotiated and executed contracts with clients. Conducted Strategic Planning and sought after new business opportunities. Interfaced with client hospital management staff as well as over 1,500 Schumacher Group independent contractor physicians. Led corporate consulting activities in areas of health systems integration, managed care, practice management, Emergency Department management, and other areas critical to physicians. Provided overall executive leadership needed to advance the mission statement and strategic growth initiatives of Schumacher Group. Remained on Board post retirement.
