As a Business Analyst, I provided training and support to various business units on the applications used by the operations and managed the implementations of changes whenever required. Additionally, I was the first point of contact for any IT related issues at the flight operations branch in Toronto.KEY ACCOMPLISHMENTS:- Managed, implemented and provided support for the new Vacation Bidding System for the aircraft maintenance group which reduced the administration work from 3 months to 2 weeks.- Managed the projects on implementing changes to the existing systems to accommodate newly purchased Boeing 787 aircraft and new subsidiary Rouge.- Investigated and resolved the issues reported by the end users and educated the developers on the current data structure on the pilot qualification tracking systems with a quick turnaround time on a daily basis.

As part of the IT infrastructure team, I was responsible for design, implementation and support of hardware, server, network and storage of a complete new infrastructure which included deployment of new releases of the company portal, system images, group policy settings, desktop tools and third party software.KEY ACCOMPLISHMENTS:- Provided and maintained the testing, development and production environments required by the software developers and the quality assurance group to do their tasks.- Installed and decommissioned the IT equipment in the temporary stations at the construction sites for the Project Managers, Engineers and the contractors to do their electronic administrative work.- Deployed the employee vacation system into the company portal that allowed the employees to check their vacation profiles electronically.

As a Systems Support Specialist, I performed User Acceptance Testing, performance testing, integration testing and regression testing to ensure that the new applications going into the live environment worked according to the requirements for the operations group. Additionally, I provided training and support to the end users on the new applications.KEY ACCOMPLISHMENTS:- Worked with the business units in translating the operational requirements into technical specifications to be implemented into the new systems.- Provided regular progress and status reports to the Test Lead and Project Manager about potential risks and delays.- Participated in the rollout of NetlineOps, Communicator and Briefer as replacements for the legacy system FMIS and acted as a coach to the operations team after the cutover.

As part of the IT network support team, I resolved the internet connectivity issues for the students in the Chestnut residence to enable them to do their course work. Additionally, I developed and implemented an application to monitor the weekly internet traffic of the residents enforcing them to conform to the agreement on the bandwidth usage.KEY ACCOMPLISHMENTS:- Developed the application that monitored the weekly internet bandwidth by using IIS, Object-Oriented design, MS Access with programming languages: Java, JDBC, SQL, ASP, HTML and VBScript.- Resolved residents’ problems related to Operating System issues, upgrades, MS Office products and Internet connectivity (Ethernet, routers, switches and wireless) to give the residents the tools that they require for their course work.- Educated the new support team on the network infrastructure in the residence and how to use the weekly internet bandwidth monitoring tool.
