MPD is a multidisciplinary construction group providing services in Rail, Aviation, Substations, Data Centres, Civils, Infrastructure, Substructures and RC frames. Head of Governance and Corporate Strategy, working closely with the Board steering MPD’s core purpose and strategic plan.

Appointed to the Board having successfully led LifeCare’s UK retirement villages and nursing homes as Chief Operating Officer. My role is to provide oversight and constructive challenge and support to the Executive Directors. I am also a Company Director for 3 LCR subsidiaries and attend all board meetings.

As COO, my key responsibilities were to:* Oversee the successful operations of all retirement villages and nursing homes within the UK. * Ensure the company's operating culture sustained the delivery of outstanding service levels, exemplary compliance and that the business remained an employer of choice.* Ensure all operations were managed in accordance with the company business plans and operating budgets, in compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements - specifically care and clinical standards.* Act as the CQC Nominated Individual for the company - instrumental in the Group’s response to Covid-19, preparing policies, templates and advice in the absence of detailed advice from the government.* Manage and support all General Managers with responsibility for our Group Sales and Marketing function, including a Head of Marketing and Head of Commercial Services. * Direct, support and manage the village sales' teams in the execution of successful sales and marketing strategies and the delivery of sales targets.* Develop recruitment strategies to attract best-in-class talent capable of delivering superior service; oversee all on-boarding and establishment of remuneration structures.* Build and maintain a high-performance culture through effective performance management, communication, and coaching processes.* Support development teams to agree operational requirements for new villages/nursing homes.* Develop a clear vision for the company, its operating propositions and standards including the creation of new company mission, vision and values.* Personally provide executive leadership to ensure smooth and effective operations, strong governance, promoting a team culture supporting the company’s values.

Little Ones is a nanny agency specialising in the placement of bilingual childcare based in two central London locations. The company ethos is to provide highly educated childcare and domestic professionals whose central focus is child safety and language development. Board member responsible for developing and implementing an effective attraction strategy to support rapid expansion. Overseeing all learning and development within the business. Responsible for:* Researching and sourcing the best talent within the UK and globally. * Sourcing talent for all leadership positions including Directors, Recruitment Managers, Business Managers and Recruitment Consultants together with learning and development roles. * Developing strong internal relationships and external networks to build a rich pipeline of excellent talent.* Partnering with all stakeholders and hiring managers, providing a comprehensive end-to-end recruitment service.* Overseeing all learning and development including all onboarding and induction experiences, ongoing training and development workshops.* Providing coaching and mentoring support to all management and senior management including the Managing Director.

Director of own consultancy partnering with clients on talent acquisition, training and development, talent mapping and executive search (extensive experience of sourcing leadership and executive talent across a multitude of different sectors including the private and ‘not for profit’ sectors). Experienced with delivering face to face workshops and training.

Responsible for providing exceptional, consistent and effective services to clients across the Group; leading, shaping and mentoring a team of Account Managers to deliver outstanding service and meet personal sales targets. Account Director for key clients to ensure delivery of various recruitment projects. Overseeing all recruitment tenders and master vendor contracts. Advising clients on their recruitment strategies and end to end recruitment processes; numerous projects completed.

Responsibilities as above although focusing on two key divisions of the Group; RHR and Together Communications, our in house advertising agency. Managed numerous 'off-line' and "on-line" recruitment campaigns.

Overseeing a team recruiting retail management positions from Store Managers to Retail Directors. Personally managing numerous assignments.

Responsible for a team recruiting within Buying, Merchandising and Human Resources. Salaries ranging from £20K to £150K. Personally managing numerous recruitment assignments.

Based in the North-West but also overseeing offices in Leeds, Bristol, Birmingham and Watford.
