Functional accountability includes 4 field service regions, marketing and communications, human resources, technology, strategy and performance management, retail, programs, and facility management. Directly responsible for 500 plus employee workforce, providing support services to 900,000 plus volunteers, managing $111m in revenue and $126m in expenses.

The Assistant Chief Scout Executive for Operations manages the overall delivery of the Scouting programs through council, regional, marketing, technology and project management office operations. All BSA national support and oversight of the 280 plus local Scout councils are coordinated and directed through the office of the ACSE/OperationsThrough the management of an operation budget of $40 plus million, the ASCE/Operations is directly responsible for generating $56.3 million or 45% of the national operating budget and indirectly responsible for the generation of another $56.9 million.
