As of December 2021 I will be retired. I would be interested in volunteer or for pay work opportunities. Most recently I worked in systems support in point of sales systems. This involved server/client based systems supporting point of sales applications as well as networking both local networks and hosted systems connections.I have also been involved in project administration. Working with project teams in delivering a solution to accounts. Managed ID access for support personnel on client systems. Areas of expertise include planning and installation of systems, computer support, personnel training and inventory management. Results driven, with excellent people relations skills. Technically-oriented with extensive experience as service provider for mainframe and open systems data storage and networking equipment.Before coming to IBM in June of 2102, I worked for four years as the business administrator for a small non-profit with responsibilities of all finances of the organization such as receivables, payables and human resources as well has facility and computer & network administration and managing the web presence for the business.From September of 1979 to September of 2007 (28 years) I worked for three corporations; Telex Inc., Storage Technology Corporation and Sun Microsystems. During those years I supported mainframe storage systems including tape, disk, virtual tape, virtual disk and an enterprise tape library systems acquiring the title of Senior Field Engineer..Specialties: Solid experience in providing support for customers.Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Experienced in planning, organizing, and overseeing projects.Self motivated, working well without direct supervision.Adaptable, able to learn new skills and technology, often self taught. Primary point of contact in the Central Missouri area with a Fortune 500 company.Excellent verbal and written skills.
