Engineer officers command or assist in commanding engineer units consisting of Marines in various MOSs whose duties include repair, maintenance, and operation of engineer heavy equipment; construction, operation, and repair of structures and facilities; clearing and emplacing obstacles such as minefields; construction of bridges; using explosives for construction and demolition projects; using specialized demolitions for urban breaching; storage and distribution of bulk fuel products; installation, operation, and maintenance of utility systems.From June 2013 to January 2014, I served as a company executive officer. As the executive officer I was second in command of 110 Marines, oversaw training, medical, and deployment readiness. From May 2012 to June 2013 I command Assault Breacher Vehicle Platoon for 2d Combat Engineer Battalion, enhancing mobility for 2D Marine Division. During my command, I oversaw training for 50 Marines to include ten successful live fire exercises with no mishaps.From August 2011 to March 2012 I served as the Road and Bridge Officer for Regional Command Southwest is support of Operation Enduring Freedom. I oversaw construction of all horizontal construction projects in the Helmand province.
