Life Choices, Career Choices, Financial Choices, How do you know?I think making choices about what you believe, where you work and whom you love are probably the most difficult choices for all of us. The better part of my life, I’ve spent time helping people with the first two of those choices. Question number 3 is better off left to others! Not only did I enhance and develop my preaching and teaching skills in ministry. I also learned how to develop programs and people. Expanding intern programs, creating new jobs, and financing building campaigns all developed my leadership skills. But working in the church felt like being a racing car in a parking lot. So I left full time ministry to enter post-secondary education. I found l loved the role of the admissions team in helping students decide about school, and helping the school build out our campus and grow our company. Leading small teams of 2 and larger staffs and multiple campuses I understand the intricate nature of creating, building and running a successful admissions strategy. Working both sides of the street in for-profit, and non-profit I learned how to expand my strategies to fit any academic environment. But the bottom line for me is knowing people’s lives are in a better place now, then they were before we met. Not perfect, but better, that’s the most I can hope for with all I encounter in church, at work, or in school.
