IEM staff are recognized as leaders in providing BCP/COOP services, hazardous materials assessments, risk assessments, developing well-integrated and comprehensive emergency plans and exercises, and enhancing disaster air operations preparedness across the country.

As both a Nuclear Fuels Engineer and Sr. Nuclear Fuels Engineer in the Core Analysis group at River Bend Station, my responsibilities included supporting reactor engineers in operational decision-making through core simulations, design of refueling reactor cores, and fuel/core related technical licensing issues. I was part of the team that developed an NRC submittal of our core and safety analysis methodology. During this time I was also an active member of the Emergency Response Organization for River Bend, serving in the Technical Support Center, then the Emergency Operations Facility.

My professional career began as a design systems engineer with responsibility for a variety of balance of plant and nuclear safety systems. Responsibilities included responding to NRC Information Notices and Bulletins, INPO SERs and SOERs, designing and developing plant modification packages and conducting 10CFR50.59 safety evaluations for changes or conditions in my systems of responsibility.
