As the product head for JavaScript focus area in Developer Division, led strategy, execution, growth across several products:TypeScript – Grew product MAU by over 20x during the 2+ year tenure, including getting TypeScript to be amongst the top 15 programming languages across various industry wide language ranking surveys. Ensured TypeScript was one of the most exemplary OSS projects at Microsoft. Formed and fostered several internal, community, and industry relationships.Node.js on Microsoft Azure – Starting from an idea, grew the business to high five-digit MAU within a year by utilizing lean customer development practices and offering best in class support for Node.js on Azure – a PaaS offering that addressed customer needs.ChakraCore JavaScript engine – Delivered a JavaScript engine with industry leading performance as measured by various industry benchmarks. Despite OSS headwinds, drove executive buy-ins to convert it from a closed-source-Windows-only solution to a cross-platform-OSS project. Chakra - As one of the first few members of the Chakra JavaScript engine team, helped build a JS engine that could run the web at scale. Owned product pieces across all parts of the runtime – JavaScript (ECMAScript) language features, web platform (W3C) features, hosting and diagnostics capabilities, security and performance. Work involved deep technical understanding of web and application platforms, compete landscapes, collaborating and negotiating with cross-divisional partner teams, TC39 members and W3C members. Visual J# - As the product owner for Visual J# Redist 2.0-SE, managed product strategy, plans, and communications across various stakeholders. Working closely will product marketing, defined product retirement strategy for Java migration technologies supported across Microsoft’s development stack.Java Language Conversion Assistant – PM and Engineering owner for two releases, responsible for transitioning the product to a remote development center, integrating with Visual Studio 2005, working with distributed teams, managing a team of vendors.
