- Selected to individually represent my high school at monthly school board meetings to present school reports to inform and educate school board members, district staff, and the public community on the important school events and highlights- Contributed student perspective to school district policymaking while gaining valuable insight into referendum elections, educational policy, and local decision-making processes

Utilized a 3-D Camera and other GIS technology/applications including Microsoft 365 to collect geospatial data on all the buildings and group camps within Cleary Lake Regional Park.Uploaded the geospatial data online for review by the GIS team to eventually publish public and internal virtual tours to improve the visitor experience and increase the park district’s operation efficiency. Developed an understanding of how GIS and ArcGIS in particular can be utilized to make a real world impact by exploring presentations from the ESRI User Conference in San Diego, CA.Compiled and presented a final capstone project using ArcGIS StoryMaps to hundreds of community members ranging from park directors, GIS users, and family to demonstrate professional and technical growth throughout the internship experience and further funding and awareness of GIS projects and applications in the local community
