I signed a 12-month contract to develop my design and video production business through The New Enterprise Incentive Scheme (NEIS) which is a self-employment program funded by the Department of Education Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR). NEIS helps eligible people become self-supporting and independent of Centrelink by establishing and running their own businesses.• I have recently started a profitable part-time design business, offering social media, google AdWords, video and print design studio production services to a handful of clients. • From pitching for new design work to finished product, I am producing tailored communication strategies that meet the business's core communication and business goals and budgets. • For a $10 fishing product, our video went viral with over 10.5 million to-date. These facebook views equated to six figure growth in less than 60 days. I was instrumental in the implementation and design of their communication strategy, from daily Big Commerce store management, answering and distributing a growing number of support tickets generated through a system I installed and configured. Often these tickets were mostly about tracking numbers for parcels sent late, due to limited stock levels. My solution was to implement a faster communication system to support staff in a structure team model, so the company could manage the weekly 200 plus support tickets. Often these complaints were about lost items in transit. I negotiated alternative delivery services and accounts with DHL and STARTRACK. This reduced costs and delivery times from 14 day - 30 days and automatically issued through the Big Commerce store tracking numbers, sent out to customers with dispatch. This alternative pack and track solution has improved the customer experience.• Managing all aspects of running a small business planning, accounting, new business acquisition, project management, multiple timelines while developing ongoing relationships.

Cogility offer management consultancy, business and IT strategy, business blueprint/architecture and change management advice. At the time of my appointment Cogility Pty Ltd specialising in the provision of trusted advice and customised ICT services to Government (establishment of the Carbon market regulator and Carbon Pollution Reduction Scheme) and large private sector organisations.My role required me to be proactive in the supply of personal services and support to the CEO, anticipating his requirements and implementing communication strategies to improve the CEO effectiveness. The CEO was responding to a Request for Tender Document about the implementation of the Carbon Trading Scheme. My role was admin support for the Cogility business determining and clearly conveying the project time and cost objectives plus any quality standards to be met in the Response to Tender Document.I also paid particular attention to the risks implicitly embedded in the Response to Tender design. I was responsible for co-authoring and managing the 160-page Response To Tender Document, using Microsoft 365 and SharePoint in the scheduling of meetings and assembling coherent change management teams to implement the Federal Governments detailed policies in relation to the financial and GST impacts of the carbon permit scheme. This was a massive undertaking which resulted in successful policy adoption by the Gillard Labor Government.

I enjoy working with a diverse audience which is not always a club environment. DJing at events, weddings and birthday parties enables me to use my decades of experience and vast musical knowledge to select music which will resonate with the widest cross-section of the audience. The music you can play at these events often sets a vibe which is more intimate and should be memorable as a standout fun event in which everyone was able to make it a good old knees up.

At Crown Towers I work on a 24 hour 7 day rotating roster providing meals to in roomguests, the Mahogany room, Pool and Spa’s and nightclub VIP guests. My role requires meto service a total of 482 guest rooms and suites, including 32 villas, a luxurious guest loungeand the Crystal Club & Crown Spa. I am successful in this role because I can align the highservice standards with my passion for the hospitality industry and exceptional customer service. I have a strong drive to engage personally with our customers. My previous room service experience in premium hotels has been an essential attribute in applying a strong attention to detail, ensuring the mise en place meets the standards of service of Crown in-­roomdining.

Through my sole trader business (See above) I developed and focused the positioning of their brand, increasing their relationship with the differents audience personas by communicating targeted and measurable messages to each target group.I produced shareable video, graphics, discount offers on social media, to start a discussion about fishing. My strategy was to always avoid product-sales-pitching, and design SEM, FBM, and Digital messages which was new, fresh and relevant information sent out in a timely manner to these audiences.

Live in part time manager role for 120-acre farm (running 300 Cashmere goats, 200 cattle, Lamas and fowl livestock). Growing up in a rural setting, it seemed natural to run my design business remotely from this rural location, while also working on my Phd deliverables. Duties include feeding, breeding, rotating paddocks, drenching, branding plus general station duties such as fixing fencing, chemical spraying and vermin / pest control, sheering. Adopting strict OHS practices to ensure any risk while working on the property is mitigated through adapting better procedures and farm processes.

Decipher Strategic Consulting Pty Ltd (Decipher) is an Australian Small to Medium Enterprise, specialising in the provision of trusted advice and customised ICT services to Government and large private sector organisations. As a personal assistant I supported Mr Ruddy while he consulted to the DEECC in the establishment of the Carbon market regulator and Carbon Pollution Reduction Scheme. My personal assistant duties include co-writing Decipher’s response to Request For Tender documents to Federal Government departments and advisory panels. Much of my role has been around Information Technologies and Communication support using Microsoft 365 and Sharepoint for the scheduling of meetings and performing of general office duties. My role required me to ensure Mr Ruddy was free to concentrate on his Principal Consultant role, for example assembling coherent teams to manage the federal Governments detailed implementation policies in relation to the financial and GST impacts of carbon permit auctions.

Assigning video shots, ensuring quotas and deadlines are met and the director’s vision is adhered to while interpreting a clear design brief. I took my work from a design conceptual idea through to development. Working closely with the production team to estimate quotes, scheduling and deadlines for new jobs. Ensuring high production values, tight deadlines and excellent client service was maintained. My role required above average communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to feel comfortable and confidant working directly with directors, agency creative’s and clients directly.

I have a proven ability in establishing and maintaining effective customer relationships and customer service. I have produced a menu of signature cocktail drinks that compliment the meal sales. Developed theft prevention and wastage management systems. Proven experience in balancing and reporting daily takings and daily KPI’s. Start up and closing procedures of both venues. Booking live entertainment for Friday and Saturday night at the Uber Bar Airlie Beach. Waiting on tables, blue cleaning duties and dishwasher duties as needed. Liaise with wine and spirit suppliers. Reduce operating costs through tight management of staff levels and stock wastage. While also being the webmaster and social media guru for both companies reaching targeted prospects of 10,000 users through Facebook and Google advertising campaigns.

Imported a UK CD music promo product for the local digital DJ market. We sold DJ production software from computer suppliers Intelliware, Jands Australia via e-commerce store. We also maintained a database of 500 Disc Jockey’s, which was rented directly to Australian record label A&R departments.

A key member of a team who increased broadcast digital sales budget from $1 million to $20 million during the time when new cable networks needed standards conversion and transfer of 1” NTSC masters to PAL Digital BetaCam. The industry was in need of about 24,000 hours of content to be transferred. I achieved this through excellent interpersonal sales negotiation skills when I approached XYZ, Optus and Foxtel. Finally after the negotiation process ended I secured new business. Time management was a desired skill when working in the fast pace environment of television, post production and broadcast standards conversion. I managed a portfolio of 15 key advertising agencies and production companies located across Sydney including George Patterson, McCann Erickson, Young and Rubicon, John Singelton agency collectively 4 million in revenue to the company.
