Viva Energy is a major energy organisation employing over 3000 people in Australia and supplies around a quarter of Australia’s petrol, diesel, aviation and lpg requirements. The essential products supplied by the business and the jobs it generates in the areas of production and distribution make a significant contribution to the Australian economy. In April 2011 Shell Australia announced its intention to decommission its Clyde Refinery asset and convert the facility to a finished product import and distribution terminal (the Clyde Terminal Conversion Project, CTCP). In 2014 Shell globally announced it's intention to sell its downstream business' in Australia to Vitol, the worlds largest private trading company. Post the sale, Shell in Australia was renamed Viva Energy Pty Ltd. More information at www.vivaenergy.com.auResponsibilities include: - Development and implementation of the overall contracting and procurement strategy for the project to support top quartile performance requirements.- Drive support of the strategy through the various approval streams both within and external to Shell in Australia.- Negotiate and implement contracts identified in the strategy to ensure the most cost effective outcome for the project and Shell.- Strategic management of all contracts implemented for the project, including claims management.
