With over 30 years as a commercial lawyer under my belt, I now indulge my passion for the start-up journey through my roles as lawyer, mentor and, occasionally, director for technology and fast growth companies.I established Redchip in the mid-1990s based on an instinct that business owners and entrepreneurs would respond positively to services delivered by a law firm that was motivated by the same drivers as themselves.My commercial background, along with an endless curiosity about what makes businesses tick and what drives innovation in Australian companies, has helped me build what I like to consider a unique and competitive commercial law firm, as well as my own market-leading technology platform. As co-founder of Yodal (www.yodal.com.au) – Australia’s most comprehensive Estate Planning platform for advisers – the team and I facilitate professional advisers in project managing the Estate Planning process with their clients, unlocking opportunities for deeper client conversations and building revenue.I am also keenly interested in opportunities and risks impacting both small and mid-sized businesses, from formation to growth and through to exit. I’m actively involved in capital raising, complex joint ventures and corporate advisory, and also handle mergers and acquisitions for the SME market and small cap listed companies.
