As Maintenance Technician my primary role requires me to maintain the property to an excellent standard in order to create a safe environment both for members and staff at all times. The role demands continued support to the Operations Manager and Club Support Manager to ensure the smooth day to day running of the club, whilst maintaining regular and clear communication of all maintenance issues with my team and through regular communication with the Regional Technical Services Manager. As part of this role I also contribute to the opening and closing of the club and the management of staff making sure the David Lloyd ways of working are adhered to.I have liaised and managed contractors building a close working relationship with them, making certain the David Lloyd process is followed, ensuring limited down time of facilities while making sure all ordering and cost control processes are followed. I have implemented several plans to help reduce utility costs by year on year, and through my unique skill set I have helped to reduce annual spending across my department line. I have been jointly responsible for all health and safety of the club, management of lifeguards, cleaners and the rest of the maintenance team. During my time at David Lloyd I have been NSF-CMI audited four times on health and safety and passed successfully on all occasions, achieving a 100% for our latest audit in October.
