He is a talented interior designer with diverse expertise in both interiors and industrial design projects. He has recieved numerous design awards and his work has been published extensively. Gavin joined futurespace in 2009 after working as a partner in a successful London design practice producing significant workplace and hospitality projects throughout the United Kingdom, Europe, Asia and Africa. While working in the design studio of Mackay + Partners in London, Gavin undertook the design of the interiors of the Merck Serono Campus in Geneva, working closely with the building architects, Chicago based Helmut Jahn. The project included 70,000sqm of workplace for Merck Serono. In London Gavin worked closely with the Renzo Piano Design Workshop team on the interior design and facade detailing of the Central St Giles Development.; a high-end multi-unit residential development in central London.Gavin’s recent futurespace key projects have included Microsoft’s new Australian Headquarters and Jones Lang Lasalle’s head office; both projects implemented Activity Based Workplace (ABW) solutions. Through Gavin’s design leadership he has helped clients realise and develop new workplaces that maximise the effectiveness of an organisation along with their accommodation and productivity objectives.
