At KMF I look after the Health, Safety & Environment of four buildings and approximately 400 employees.My roles consist of:• Risk assessing processes, procedures, and equipment. Making sure safe systems are in place to protect all whom may be affected by KMF’s activities.• Ensuring that all staff are competent to perform their duties.• Working with contractors for installations, and maintenance functions.• Organising Health Surveillance and other 3rd party monitoring such as noise, and air quality.• Reviewing the company policies and procedures to ensure continuous improvement.• Implement & maintain KMFs Occupational Health & Safety management system to an ISO 45001 standard.• Maintain KMFs Environmental management system to an ISO 14001 standard• Investigate accidents, near misses and incidents to find out root cause and reduce risk of reoccurrence.• Look for trends in accidents/incidents in order to review improvement opportunities.• Work with other members of the management team in all Health, Safety, and environment matters.• Implementing emergency procedures.• Monitoring compliance to HS&E management systems• Communicating HS&E performance to the management team.• Consulting with staff/employee regarding policies, risk assessment and safety systems Show less

For just over two years I acted as the Health & Safety Specialist at TJX. Within this role I have been a key part in promoting good health & safety culture. I have implemented company policy and procedures, whilst working closely with the Risk Management Team to continually improve standards and as a result we have managed to achieve and maintain 18001 accreditation.
