A part-time (20hr) position working for the newly formed Colorway NL, part of the UK/Chinese Colorway Group (CW on Demand). Responsible for the production facility, quality, H&S and recruitment (including seasonal on-call workers). Implemented Colorway’s post Brexit strategy and their standard production processes during the Covid pandemic until be business became bankrupt.Recruited and built an efficient and enthusiastic international production team that improved processes, quality and reduced defects.Sourced new local suppliers reducing costs, stock and delivery times.Advised Group Directors to improve production equipment, processes, safety standards, working practices and employment conditions to comply with EU standards.

Collaborated in the set up and launch the first international Print on Demand production facility for the UK based Prodigi Group in 2017. Responsible for the Facility, Operations, Production, Quality, Supply Chain, Customer Relations, H&S and Recruitment (including seasonal on-call workers).Effectively implemented the Lean methodology (TPS & TMS) to grow a highly regarded and efficient print production facility. Produced high volumes of print on-demand stickers, posters, art prints and framed prints with short lead times and international shipping. Recruited, trained and managed a high achieving production team that constantly improved quality, minimised waste, reduced defects and delighted customers.

Offering a leading local solution for print (stationery, brochures, packaging, POS), marketing, copywriting, artwork and design to small and medium sized businesses, as well as a trade service. Responsibilities included business development, B2B sales support, special projects, production, purchasing and managing a small enthusiastic team.Created new marketing materials and introduced customer friendly fixed-price product ranges to streamline the sales process, reduce buying decision times and remain ahead of local competition in an ever changing and competitive market.Implemented and configured an automated print Management Information System (EFI PrintSmith/Site) with website integration that improved order management, online ordering, artwork submission and a hybrid pdf workflow for conventional and digital printing. Increased short run orders and profitability by introducing and updating digital printing for small and wide format printing using Canon, Epson, HP, Konica, Roland and Xerox equipment, with automated imposition and pdf workflow. Improved efficiency and quality of conventional lithographic print production through addition of new Heidelberg presses, programmable guillotines and automated finishing equipment.Trouble-shooter for print production, finishing, and prepress issues.Influenced a change in internal business behaviour, from a blaming culture to an enthusiastic continuous improvement environment.
