CurrentPartner in the McAlpine Family Group business with a seat on the McAlpine Group Supervisory Board which oversees the Group’s full business operations including Sir Robert McAlpine Ltd. the Group’s contracting, and civil engineering business, which celebrated its 150-year anniversary in 2019 and RES, the world's largest independent renewable energy solutions provider. As Chair of RES, I have been intimately involved with RES and the renewable energy industry for over 22 years as a manager, strategist, and leader. A regular publisher of opinion pieces with the Institute of Solar Energy Society, REFOCUS, IEA journal and the EDRA.Gavin was a Founding Member and Co-Chair of the London Climate Change Agency established by the Founding Member of the UK Green Building Council.Trustee of the Robert McAlpine Foundation and Treasurer of the Dinosaur Trust, charity funding research into rare heart disease to save and improve the lives of children and adults.
