Under the tutelage of Professor Massimiliano Vasile of Strathclyde University, I continued my dissertation project research for the ESA and Swiss Space Centre. This was funded through a Carnegie Vacation Scholarship Award which I won for "outstanding personal research" during my 4th year dissertation project. Main stakeholders/employers:ESA(European Space Agency), Swiss Space Centre, Strathclyde University and The Carnegie TrustMy duties and achievements included:• Won an internship (£3.5k) from a self-initiated application to the Carnegie Vacation Scholarship to continue my dissertation research with the European Space Agency and Swiss Space Centre as stakeholders.• Wrote award winning code in Python and MATLAB to design a Hydrogen Fuel Cell in lunar conditions - allowing quick prototyping.• Won “Most Impressive Project” ahead of 18 other universities at an European Space Agency(ESA) funded event which was presented to the public and ESA experts. I was responsible for the children's safety and well-being during their week at camp. I was involved within a team from over 7 nationalities and made many life-long firendships.• Over-saw 30+ for vulnerable young adults ensuring safety and enjoyment alongside a partner counsellor.• Developed lasting relationships/friendships with a diverse camp of 30+ staff host to >7 different nationalities.• Contributed to 3 local charities for under-privileged young-adults and children.

Uganda

I volunteered by helping build water sources for the locals and teaching the school children hygiene in their local school classes.• Constructed water sources and water storage so local girls were enabled time to go to school. • Hosted weekly meetings with the village and Province elders in order to organise a teaching and construction times.• Taught local children and adults hygiene techniques and upkeep of constructed water sources and storage.
