    Gavin is a member of the Alternative Investments & Manager Selection Group (AIMS) leadership team in the Investment Management Division. He joined Goldman Sachs in 1996 as an associate in J. Aron Currency and Commodities Strategies. Gavin was named managing director in 2003 and partner in 2008.Gavin earned a BSc in Mathematics from Leeds University in 1991 and a PhD in Mathematics at Imperial College, London, in 1995.
