I was also part of a small team that developed the initial bid for this funding in consultation with local businesses.Management of the council's Raising the Bar Challenge Fund which is a grant programme for schools aimed at supporting improved educational attainment. As part of this I have also worked closely with the Education Endowment Foundation who have been evaluating the fund to see if it is a positive way of enabling schools to implement evidence based interventions/programmes.General funding advice and support to council departments and the voluntary and charitable sector.I have also written a number of successful funding bids£900,000 from Department for Education for the Holiday Activities & Food Programme 2020£900,000 from Department for Education for the Holiday Activities & Food Programme 2019£200,000 from Department for Transport (for a joint research project between Essex and Suffolk County Council's)£49,800 from the Erasmus+ EU funding scheme for a Youth Dialogue project£30,000 from Sport England for a new astroturf pitch for Hadleigh Community Primary SchoolI have also provided funding advice and guidance to a large number of voluntary and charitable sector organisations who have successfully gained funding for a total of £456,000 for projects in Suffolk.Outside of work I am also involved in a number of community groups where I have utilised my funding skills, including a number of small grants for arts projects as part of my volunteer role as a trustee of the Friends of Hadleigh Library. I also raised £180,000 for a new Skatepark in Hadleigh in my role as treasurer of the Hadleigh Skatepark User Group. Show less

As a volunteer I raised £180,000 from a range of funders to build a new skatepark in Hadleigh, Suffolk, then working in conjunction with Babergh District Council to commission the construction and have a design that was co-produced with the users of the park.
