Played a key role in various consulting assignments including the execution of due diligences, communication of expertise through formal written reports, cost modelling and industry cost analysis and benchmarking. Executed numerous assignments and reviews of mining and mineral sands processes at a number operations incorporating various mining techniques and technologies spanning from large scale dredge mining to small volume high efficiency dry mining methods. Primary area of focus has been on mineral sands projects, especially resource valuation, geometallurgy, primary concentration and mineral separation plants.

Responsible for leading and guiding all metallurgical project work at Richards Bay Minerals with responsibility extending from Mining and Exploration through to the Production and refining of the Final Products (Iron, High Titania Slag, Rutile and Zircon). Projects focused on process improvement as well as the introduction of new technology.

Responsible for managing the Richards Bay Minerals smelting operations including the 4 ac electric arc furnaces, CO gas processing plant and molten products transfer area. Development and execution of the operating strategy and budget for the smelter.
