My responsibilities have included the creation of the Training Strategy for the project, undertaking the TNA in consultation with business SME’s and overseeing the creation of all training materials for both the Train the Trainer work and the main roll-out. I also created a Training Plan and Schedule to enable a roll-out utilising a team of trainers across various geographical locations and have planned a 6 week Train the Trainer programme, aimed at upskilling and preparing the trainers.May 2014 – December 2015: The training lead on a project to roll out a query and analysis tool for screening and drug data. D360 was a software deployment that brought together multiple data sets from different sources in one tool and allowed querying across those datasets. I was responsible for planning training activities for a team of trainers based across the UK, US, Sweden and China. My role was to also ensure that materials were created and appropriate for user requirements. I also had to ensure that training plans were in place so that over 900 internal scientists all received appropriate training for their role.April 2015 – August 2015: Training lead on Identity Manager – an Access and Permissions tool that allowed users to submit requests and grant access to accounts and resources using an online tool. In November 2009 I took on the role of Global TAU (Training, Awareness and Utilisation) and Communications lead on the BioELN project (electronic lab notebook for Bioscientists) which involved working with scientists from all Discovery sites and across all Bioscience functions to ensure that maximum benefit can be gained in terms of substantial time savings and the sharing of data globally. This involved both system based functional training and a large element of business change training around the implementation of Business Rules and adherence to SOPs and changes to local workflows. In this role I was responsible for managing a global team, based in North America, Sweden, India and China.In addition to this I worked in supporting scientists on how to use and gain maximum benefit from a wide array of Discovery applications. This involved providing workflow based TAU solutions to groups of scientists along with more specific 1 to 1 sessions aimed at enabling the individual to utilise the software most effectively. Other major projects I have worked on include a MedChem ELN, IBIS which allows scientists to globally share information and enable more informed decision making and CODA which is an on-demand compound ordering tool.For MedChem ELN, I was involved in the project at a local, regional and global level. Locally, I took responsibility for the TAU aspect of the project at Alderley Park, ensuring that all Chemists were fully prepared for the original rollout and that all training requirements were met. Following the initial training I was involved in planning follow-up activities that were designed to realise the maximum benefits of the software. Regionally, I ensured that global strategy and planning was implemented at a local level throughout the UK region (R&D sites in the UK, France and India).
