Monitor plant financial performance ongoing and develop strategies with the operations team to correct variances from plan.Maintain accurate and timely measurement, trending and reporting of all key parameters including Plant labour, including direct labour, overtime, casuals, absenteeism across the plant. Key AchievementsManaged the Value re-engineering of all Enrobed and Bitesize chocolate formats resulting in increase in earnings without price rise. Successfully managed the packaging change of all medium and large bitesize products from Bag to Pouch format.Delivery of Seasonal Gift Box activity on time and in full on newly commissioned line under capacity pressure. Introduction of Packaging Machine Efficiency Key Performance indicators, resulting in Efficiency improvements across all packaging rooms of around 10%Wafer Line performance improvement initiative from 40% of Perfect at the start of 2013 to 55% of perfect currently.Established Factory management team entity and facilitated the effectiveness of the group as a decision making body; as a logical escalation group for the Factory Management Operating System.Undertaken Six Sigma training and improvement project

ResponsibilitiesProvide Engineering Support to the “Alternative Safeworking Project”, a $12M capital works project to implement a computer controlled safeworking system for managing train movements.The role involved managing engineering and systems changes related to upgrading and modifying Track, Communications and Signalling infrastructure, as well, administrating and managing the day to day contractual and functional requirements of working with a third party software developer on the “ASW” train operating system.AchievementsDelivery of complex Civil and Signalling infrastructure changes on time and within budget.

ResponsibilitiesManage Maintenance and capital improvement of the Ballarat Country Rail District, comprising 940km of mainline track, 100km of siding track, 460 points and crossings, 20 passenger stations and 265 major bridge structures, on a land area of approximately 4000Ha Manage Budget including achieving year on year cost savings targets Carry out Inspection and manage Compliance to statutory and internal safeworking standardsManage workforce of 110 track maintenance staff, 40 construction staff, 15 bridge and works staff and 5 supervisors/foremen.Manage $10M Capital Improvement/ catch-up programme.Achievements5% Year on year reduction of maintenance costs without disruption to service or degradation of standard of infrastructure achieved by rationalisation of labour force, reformed work practices and improved monitoring of condition of Rail and Civil infrastructure
