I am a member of the Serco Defence BST PAS bid team, focusing on Property & Asset Services (formerly Estate Upkeep) for the (3) regions that we are bidding on.

Leading the Capital Projects function for Serco, and establishing consistency of service delivery across the range of FM contracts, including the NSW Whole of Government & others.

My role manages several distinct teams on the BGIS Department of Defence EMOS contract. They are the services streams of Project Delivery, Project Support Services, Estate Appraisal, and Data Management service. I currently lead a large team to deliver these services and have an excellent relationship with our numerous client representatives from many different branches of Defence.I have managed and improved the relationship with our client to ensure that we benefit from the increase to the EWP, and we were the first EMOS to be issued Projects outside of our contractual boundaries. We now have PM’s in NT, SA, QLD and are looking at opportunities elsewhere. We have increased this team from $18m 4 years ago to forecast over $200m in project delivery in 2021. I have recently designed an innovation for in house data delivery services for our BGIS project delivery services, which will improve the accuracy and timeliness of data being captured, and also save our client, the Department of Defence significant costs to the Estate Works Program. It also provides an additional income stream, and a product that we can onset to other project delivery agents. Our Project Support Services (PSS) provide a service similar to an in-house development management service, overseeing and supporting the significant portfolio of projects being delivered on our Bases. This program is currently expected to be over $500m in project value. Each of these needs to be transitioned into the Defence estate, and meet the requirements of Defence’s HOTO process.Our Data management services team manages the interface between the Defence system GEMS, our own in-house system, and the multitude of changes that occur due to the Projects and asset lifecycle changes. This includes Spatial data updates and management of the Master Site Plans (MSP’s) for each site.

BGIS is the EMOS Contractor for the NNSW Region. We support Navy, Army & Air Force capabilities across 7 Bases, which include 300 plus individual properties and over 4,000 buildings. Leading a team of 5 Managers, and a total of 30 staff, I am currently managing the functions of Project Support and Estate Appraisal. I lead a multi-disciplinary team of 28 Engineers, FM’s, a QS, coordinators and data administrators. We support Defence’s multi-billion annual dollar annual project budget, that delivers hundreds of new Projects every year. My team ensures that the projects are delivered as procured, all aspects of Estate Data are delivered and the Projects are transitioned into the maintenance contracts. My teams manage the following function for our client, Defence. Managing the maintenance contract for the NSW Land & Housing Corporation portfolio in 2 contract areas.

Strategy Division. Contract role. Strategic planning of the Housing portfolio of 130,000 properties across NSW.

At Argyle Housing, I was responsible for strategic asset management for our portfolio of over 2,300 owned and managed social and affordable properties from southern Sydney to southern NSW. This includes management of planned maintenance and capital improvements across the portfolio, and property development activity. I was also responsible for procurement, fleet management, office leases, project management, and reporting for both the Board and the Assets Committee.

I manage the commissioning of aged care facilities and housing services for our significant development pipeline of new and redeveloped facilities and services. Commissioning refers to the coordination of requirements such as planning, resourcing, handover and opening of a facility. Tasks include involvement in scoping and design of services, procurement & installation of FF&E, operational & workforce procedures, building services testing and handover, through to post occupancy review.

Managed the Independent Living Retirement Villages and Community Housing projects for the Western Region of UnitingCare Ageing.All aspects of Portfolio management including strategic leadership, financial management, compliance, stakeholder management, and project management. Functional Housing lead on a major redevelopment including 193 new ILU's at Westmead, Sydney.I led a project to create an Operational Framework for the management of Retirement Village and Community Housing, including a policy & procedure manual. I have also assisted in the management of Hotel Services for the Aged Care facilities, and led a tender for $10m worth of catering contracts.

Managing all maintenance and property management functions for a national portfolio of 43 aged care facilities.Managed OPEX and CAPEX budgets, project management, strategic property management, project delivery, tendering &procurement and stakeholder management.

All aspects of management of a portfolio of Retirement Villages, including financial, HR, property, refurbishment, compliance and resident relations. ILU sales for one village. I filled all units for the first time in that villages 15 year history. I was asked to join an RVA State Committee to review proposed changes to the RV Act, as had specific experience in mnaging Strat Title villages, and the relationship between the RV Act and the Strata Titles Act.
