The Pick operating system (often called just "the Pick system" or simply "Pick") was a multiuser, time-sharing computer operating system based around a unique "multivalued" database that originally was designed for minicomputers. It is still widely used today as an RDBMS application development system on a variety of computer platforms.This company changed its name to Raining Data, then to TigerLogic Corporation. It was acquired in 2013 by Rocket SoftwareAs the Director of International Sales for eight years, I drove international channel development with distributors, value added resellers, direct corporate accounts, and government agencies. Responsibilities included program development, contracting, negotiation, C-level relationship management, strategic mapping, and identifying new market strategiesInitiated company-wide commitment to global localization of product, documentation and marketing materials. Coordinated trade shows, press conferences and industry presentations worldwide, including Europe, Latin America, and the Asia/Pacific Region. Reporting directly to the CEO & President, I made President's Club every year in this position by meeting or exceeding plan; typically achieving 20-40% annual growth in software & services.As the Manager of the Inside Sales Team for about five years, I managed & motivated our Inside Sales group to build the company's initial domestic sales channels comprised of distributors, VARs, ISVs, and independent software developers, migrating the company's RDBMS from minicomputers to microcomputers. I created prospecting & database mining methods to develop new business through Microsoft Windows, Unix & Linux reseller channels, and spearheaded Solutions Selling and other sales training courses.Joined company as Product Marketing Manager for start up subsidiary known as Seattle OS / Pick Blue. Responsibilities included pioneering program development as an IBM RS/6000 / AIX Industry Remarketer applications coordinator.
