I have traveled extensively throughout Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and the United States, allowing me to develop a broad, global perspective reflected in my wide portfolio of visual images. My photography is featured in two internationally distributed music education anthologies: Hot Peas and Barley-O: Children’s Songs and Games from Scotland, and Over the Garden Wall: Children’s Songs and Games from England (published by Hal Leonard Music). I also photo-documented the field work for the publications, as well as for an upcoming third volume in the series: Giro Giro Tondo: Children’s Songs and Games from Italy. My work has been showcased to highlight local and regional businesses, real estate listings, and family events.

I collaborated closely with executive leadership to shape, develop, and sell both new and existing K-12 STEM curriculum products, ensuring they aligned with educational standards and met market demands. I spearheaded a 130% sales growth of digital-forward math and science curricula by delivering compelling presentations and strategically engaging with educators. I also leveraged my advanced proficiency in digital tools to create visually engaging instructional aids, enhancing the accessibility and effectiveness of STEM materials. Additionally, I led workshops on STEM education best practices, fostering math discourse and driving a 150% increase in digital product adoption and usage.

As a National Curriculum Specialist, I was responsible for high stake sales presentations and relationship-building with high profile districts, particularly those interested in a new fine arts and humanities curriculum. I interacted closely with product development and marketing to infuse the sales perspective in product and marketing collateral. As I went before school counties, districts, and educational boards, I delivered sales presentations to best represent our company and our portfolio. Upon gaining the purchase and/or adoption of our product, I traveled extensively where called, across the United States, providing professional training to the teachers and administration, while keeping our sales force internally supported and equipped.

I consistently led our studio in sales every quarter and promotion. In FY 2014, my first full year with the national company, I led the Portland studio in sales, exceeding my goal at 132%.I prospected for new business by opening up new trade accounts (architectural and design) that had not previously done business with DWR. This new business led to nearly 20% of my sales.In-store clients generated the majority of my sales; however, I successfully reached out to retail outlets such as restaurants, offices, and business centers, working to promote DWR product.I had a high client retention ratio, taking pride in the ongoing customer service I provided after the sale was made. This included general order tracking, home visits, personal thank-you notes, and client notification of promotions and specific products of interest.I developed ancillary marketing materials, using interactive technology, social media, and network communications to present and highlight products in a visually accessible method.I assisted with studio tasks, merchandising, and product training with a positive and willing attitude.

I strategically managed a daily work crew responsible for furniture pick-ups and deliveries in and around the Portland metropolitan area.I collaborated with high-end design professionals and other clients who depended on me to provide efficient, safe, and professional moving services.I managed detailed invoicing of all WDI accounts, overseeing financial deposits and adjustments, and collaborated with other WDI management to maintain an accurate inventory of all warehouse product for appropriate storage billing and customer transparency.I evaluated customer credit and made researched decisions regarding potential risk and delinquent accounts.I proved a commitment to integrity and professionalism with meticulous record-keeping and careful attention to detail.

I provided my students with the tools and training required to meet or exceed state benchmark standards in both K-8 music and 6th grade general studies.I created, organized, and led school events to build interest and enthusiasm for the district music programs, as well as community advocacy and awareness of the benefits of music education. I served as Technology Coordinator for both districts, creating and maintaining websites and developing programs to equip and empower students at all levels to utilize current developments in technology.I facilitated after-school programs in core learning subjects. I was invited each year to join the staff of the week-long Outdoor School program, during which I led team-building and learning activities and served as a Mentor Teacher for students with unique needs.
