Put simply, I love to learn, be challenged and solve problems. I'm passionate about engineering, industrial automation, programming, electronics and most technical topics. I'm always looking for new opportunities and challenges both at work and on my personal time. Outside of work, my hobbies include embedded electronics, hobby robotics,programming and Linux. When I need a break from the technical side of things, I’m outdoors hiking, fishing and cycling.My passion for technology such as automation, control, electronics and software has given me experience in many areas including;Programming (C/C++, Python, VB/VBA, .Net, Java, PHP)Schematic and circuit design (and the beginnings of PCB design)PLC programming, HMI DevelopmentA firm understanding of Networks and web technologiesA high degree of comfort with Linux, Windows/CE and OSX operating systemsCAD design in AutoCad, Draftsight, Solidworks, KiCad and EagleCAD.Virtualization software such as ESXi, VMWare Products and VirtualBoxThe list will only grow; the challenge is deciding what to learn next.A few thing's I'm working on right now outside of work.- Python Programming with Bindings to the Qt framework- Pick & Place Delta Robot Designed in Solid Works, 3D Printed, programmed with Python.- Continuing to get better at C++ and embedded software development.- Continue to practice PCB design and layouts.
