The Albion is a Thwaites pub currently under the leased ownership of EWGA Wines by whom I am employed. My job as manager is the general day to day running of the pub and restaurant and its staff. This boils down to working towards achieving a target GP through stock control, managing a team of staff to provide great service, working with a finance team to keep on top of profits, keeping assets secure and in check, carrying out administrative duties to ensure the accuracy of the pub's takings, organising shifts and rotas, interviewing and hiring new members of staff and unfortunately the opposite as well. I am the DPS of the premises and am in charge of all of the legalities, working with South Lakes Constabulary to ensure the pub is run legally and fairly in regards to both local regulars and neighbours of the building.

LocoTeachers was a branch of VIPKids in China, a leading platform for children to learn English. LocoKids was an app where parents could buy teaching packages, selecting their teacher from a roster. When selected I would travel to their homes weekly, or more frequently in some cases, to carry out an hour long lesson teaching English to the children. I would plan my lessons to be fun and active using a curriculum unique to LocoTeachers, whilst remaining professional and appropriate as a guest in the customer's home. I also worked in quality control; proofreading the curriculum materials before they were released to ensure their accuracy due to a lack of native speakers in the curriculum team.

Fibbers is a pub in Lancaster serving food and alcohol through the week while focusing on weekend evenings as a busy club environment. I was originally hired as a supervisor and received a promotion from the general manager to become his assistant. I gained experience and knowledge of the pub trade and was put forward to receive a personal alcohol license, which I achieved. My duties included service, cellar work, administration and cash handling; occasionally running the pub on its busy weekends to give the manager a break.

Camp Becket is an all boys summer camp in the US for kids aged 8-15 where I worked as a Trip Guide. I took cabins of children on camping hikes in the Berkshires using parts of the Appalachian Trail, teaching them wilderness and camping skills. The trips would last up to 5 days depending on the age of the children. My other main duty was helping other trip guides prepare gear and food for their trips. Trip guides were also designated camp drivers, I had to transport buses of children to different locations on the trails and take any children to hospital when necessary. In a small team we planned a special adventure day on the camp grounds for all of the campers to enjoy. There were 2 sets of campers over an 8 week period, each had a family visiting day. We would greet the families, helping with car park logistics and transporting belongings to and from the cabins.

I was originally hired as a barista/front of house staff member, however after a turnover in management I was asked to supervise the forward movement of the cafe section of the newly opened establishment whilst others focused on the kitchen, all of us working under the supervision of our manager. My supervisory duties included organising shifts, carrying out administrative work; for example ordering stock or equipment through my manager and dealing with customer issues. I also carried out general service tasks for example; taking orders, serving beverages and food, making coffees and interacting with customers.

I worked here as a supervisor in 2 different units; EDC and Costa. At EDC I performed simple catering tasks and barista work. I moved to the Costa unit after EDC's closure carrying out advanced barista work with high standard customer service working at a fast pace under pressure. At both units I was in a supervisory role hence my duties included running shifts, completing paperwork and dealing with customer issues.

I worked in a delivery team processing deliveries of stock in an assembly line style system as they arrived to the store. I picked up the process very quickly and after a few years was an important member of the team dictating the delivery process under supervision of the store manager or one of the two department managers. I also worked on the shop floor as a general assistant or cashier during busy periods or as cover.
