As a Research Associate II in the Clinical Trials Division: Stroke at Kaiser Permanente, I contributed to the recruitment, screening, enrollment, consent, sample processing, and follow-up of stroke patients in multiple nationally known clinical trials. I have over five years of experience in conducting and coordinating research studies in the field of neuroscience, with a focus on stroke, aging, neurodegeneration, and cognition.I am passionate about promoting diversity and inclusion in research, as I have worked with diverse research participants and staff of all ages and backgrounds. I have developed excellent communication skills in medical terminology in English and Spanish, data entry, confidentiality skills, working knowledge of applicable GCP-guidelines, SOPs, local regulatory requirements, and study-specific procedures. I have expertise in various electronic data capture systems, such as WebDCU, RedCap, PharmaAccess, and EDES, and I am certified in the administration of the MoCA. I am also familiar with neuroimaging collection using diffusion tensor imaging, functional MRI, and structural MRI sequences in a 3T Siemens scanner. I am looking to expand my knowledge and skills in research studies that involve clinical exposure and are committed to promoting diversity in research through community engagement.
