I graduated in May 2017 with a Bachelor's degree in Fashion Business Management from FIT, and a Minor in Economics. During my coursework and work experience, I have obtained invaluable training and have worked hard to gain the skills necessary to be successful in my chosen field, which is Buying and Planning. Relevant coursework I have completed includes Merchandising Math, Financial Assortment and Planning, Fashion Inventory Management, Fashion Planning and Allocation, and Merchandising Strategies. I learned to calculate and benchmark a company’s performance in the areas of sales, inventory, gross margin, operating expenses, inventory turn, sell-through, weeks of supply, markdowns and planned purchases. I have experience using JDA systems and Excel spreadsheets to extract data for analysis in order to plan a profitable assortment and allocate merchandise properly. I have demonstrated advanced Excel skills such as using pivot tables, charts, VLOOKUP, and Macros to organize and analyze data. I also have experience analyzing and forecasting demand based on prior sales, inventory levels, planned turn and current trends by location, classification and style. Furthermore, I have a lot of experience working in a team environment, communicating effectively with others, multi-tasking, and organizing, in addition to strong writing and computer skills.
