My responsibilities as Development and Creative Arts Manager are the development of all aspects of the charity, including implementing change, impact measurement and reporting and raising of funds through bid writing.I am proficient at managing projects, including the management of staff, freelancers and volunteers, budgeting, building and maintaining relationships with funders, donors and prospects and monitoring the overall effectiveness of service provision or project.

My role requires me to design and deliver a widely varied programmes of creative activities for individual member youth clubs, which link clubs to centres of excellence, and inspire young people to access those centres.The programme is funded by a £120,000 “Prospectus” grant from the Department for Education,delivered with national partners Ambition (formerly Clubs for Young People) and UK Youth. I manage a team of 2 people as well as freelance staff and volunteers to deliver focused periods of creative activities, designed to inspire young people and provide opportunities for them to gain accreditation. I manage all aspects of the budget for the Programme and am regularly required to monitor and report on its progress to national bodies.

My employment as Outreach Worker required me to work in partnership with different organisations to take the Creative Youth Network vision into the community to engage young people in activities and creative projects.I delivered an Outreach strategy that developed links with city wide voluntary organisations, schools, colleges and locality youth groups to ensure young people have an awareness of and an investment in the Creative Youth Network at The Station. I managed a £20,000 Heritage Lottery Fund that produced a youth radio shows amongst other creative projects that were developed by identifying areas of interest for communities of young people across the city and seeking ways to address them.

My role as an Outreach Tutor for a Year 11 student of Notton House School was part of an individualised curriculum of support. I mentored the student through Functional Skills qualifications as well as taking an active part in the students emotional and social growth. The role required me to be flexible in my approach to my delivery while also being a consistent point of reference for the young person I mentored.
