About Gemma Boucher

I have two decades of experience in communications, specialising in stakeholder and community engagement, marketing communications and media management. I am still constantly finding new and exciting ways to challenge myself and other people - to solve complex problems and improve relationships.I have spent the last 15 years in Victoria’s transport sector managing communications, media and engagement on major infrastructure projects. Originally from Canberra, I started out my career as a marketing officer for a small business and working in public relations for a number of non-profit organisations. I then went onto media and marketing for the Federal Government's education department before making the move to Melbourne in 2009.I have worked as a copywriter and event manager for a major transport supplier and provided advice and support for numerous Ministers’ offices in both Federal and State Governments.I have spent the majority of my career working for government authorities and departments, as well as several years in the private sector, including five years as a consultant. This time allowed me to work on many significant infrastructure projects from various angles.I love to use the combination of my skills, experience, relationships and a really positive mindset to lead and work in a team to get the best from people and achieve great outcomes for organisations, their stakeholders and our communities.
