Senior Energy Analyst
CurrentDESCRIPTION: Collaborate in deploying and managing energy efficiency programs for large nonprofit environmental services corporation. Provide technical analysis, research and technology assessment to inform development, management and operational decisions for energy programs. Develop program implementation plans, energy savings and cost effectiveness estimates and supporting work papers and facilitate integration of new measures into program portfolios. Evaluate Codes & Standards and estimate potential impacts on program operations and energy savings. Manage coordination with CPUC-approved program Measurement & Verification contractors, utility staff and engineering consultants to ensure persistence of energy savings. Analyze program performance and generate reports for internal managers, CPUC and utility clients. Assist in refinement of energy audit software tools and reporting systems. Determine environmental and carbon impacts of energy programs and employed technologies. Conceptualize potential new programs and co-develop grant proposals in response to RFP solicitations. Monitor policy developments and represent organization’s interests to regulatory, legislative and local government entities. Provided key contributions to the 2013 Title 24 Energy Code that minimized negative impacts on California’s lighting retrofit market. Created systematic process for evaluating potential energy efficiency measures and integrating them into program offerings. Developed and codified supply chain management process. Contributed to refinement of DEER values for lighting equipment and labor costs. Developed Policies & Procedures manuals and established equipment standards. Co-wrote proposals resulting in $20+ million in utility contracts. Maintained excellent relationships with investor-owned utility, local government partnership and municipal utility Contract Managers. Developed concept that generated $720K in added funding for 2004-05 contract.
